Atmospheric conditions are expected to be favorable for producing high levels of ozone air pollution in the Dallas-Fort Worth area on Friday. From William Cole: A Flood Watch has been expanded for the following counties in North Texas until 7:00 PM Sunday. Anderson, Delta, Freestone, Henderson, Hopkins, Hunt, Kaufman, Lamar, Navarro, Rains, Rockwall & Van Zandt.

WHAT Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be possible. WHERE Portions of north central, northeast, and south central Texas, including the following counties, in north central Texas, Freestone, Hunt, Kaufman, Limestone, Navarro and Rockwall. In northeast Texas, Anderson, Delta, Henderson, Hopkins, Lamar, Leon, Rains and Van Zandt. In south central Texas, Robertson. WHEN Until 7 PM this evening. IMPACTS Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Flooding may occur in poor-drainage and urban areas. Low-water crossings may become flooded. ADDITIONAL DETAILS – Scattered T-Storms are expected to re-develop this afternoon. Any T-Storm that develops will produce very heavy rain, with up to 10% of the watch area receiving 2-4 inches of rain, which would result in flooding. Outside of the pockets of very heavy rain, most of the area is forecast to receive between 0.25 to 0.5 an inch of rain.
