A weak front slides through Thursday, bringing a shift to north winds and slightly cooler air. Highs will settle back into the upper 70s, followed by crisp 40s Thursday night. From Friday through the weekend, sunshine dominates with afternoon temperatures hovering near 80 degrees. A stray shower can’t be ruled out late Saturday night into early Sunday, but most locations stay dry.

By Saturday night, clear skies and north winds will allow temperatures to fall into the lower to mid 30s. Some outlying areas north and west of DFW could flirt with a light freeze by early Sunday morning.
