Super Bowl Weekend Looking Sunny and Warm

Happy Thursday, North Texas!

A gorgeous stretch of weather is setting up across the region, just in time for Super Bowl weekend. If you’ve been waiting for a break from the roller coaster, this is it. Expect plenty of sunshine and unseasonably mild temperatures, with afternoon highs climbing well into the 70s over the next several days.

Today features wall-to-wall sunshine across North Texas with light and variable winds. Temperatures respond nicely, warming into the 60s for most locations, with a few spots reaching the low 70s by late afternoon. It’s a perfect day to get outside and soak it in.

Tonight stays quiet and noticeably milder. Skies remain mostly clear, winds stay light, and overnight lows only dip into the 40s – much more comfortable compared to recent mornings.

As we head through the weekend and into early next week, the pattern stays locked in. Expect cool to slightly chilly mornings, followed by very mild afternoons. High temperatures will consistently run in the 70s, with lots of sunshine.

Looking ahead, we are keeping an eye on two rain opportunities next week. The first comes on Tuesday, when a few spotty showers may develop, mainly east of the I-35 corridor. Rain coverage with this system looks limited for now. A more promising chance arrives late next week, around Friday, when a stronger system could bring more widespread rain across North Texas. We’ll continue to fine-tune the timing and coverage as we get closer.

Bottom line: enjoy the sunshine, enjoy the warmth, and enjoy one of the nicest stretches of weather we’ve had in a while. 🌤️ -William
