A few showers will be possible tonight across North Texas as a weak disturbance moves through the area. Rainfall will be light and the best opportunity to see rain will be from I-20 to the south. The scattered showers will be drying up by sunrise Wednesday.
The risk of severe weather returns to North Texas Thursday into Friday. The latest data continues to suggest storms will be limited on Thursday afternoon by a strong cap. Thursday night into Friday as a cold front arrives storms will become more likely especially from the I-35 corridor to the east. Severe weather is possible in the form of hail, wind and even a tornado warning or two.
