DFW Early Saturday Afternoon Update

Grass Fire Danger this Afternoon

Westerly and southwesterly winds will continue to usher in a dry (less humid) airmass into North Texas this afternoon. The dry airmass along with all of the dormmate winter kill vegetation will aggravate grass fire concerns this afternoon. Grass fire danger will be elevated roughly from the I-35 corridor to the west from Noon through 6 PM.

Areas of Fog this Morning

Patchy to dense fog continues to lift in our northeastern counites this morning near a surface boundary. Visibilities before sunrise were dropping below one mile however, those continue to quickly improve at mid morning.
Actual Lows this Morning

It was a cool start to our Saturday morning with lows across North Texas a mix of 40s an d 50s. Patchy areas of fog were also reported near the Red River.
