DFW this afternoon Showers with T-Storms likely. Heavy rainfall possible. Highs in the mid 80s. Temperatures falling into the upper 70s late. East winds 5 to 10 mph. Chance of rain 90 percent. -William
Rain and heavy rain coverage will continue to fill in as we go through the afternoon. Localized flooding may become a concern in low-lying areas. A strong to marginally severe storm is possible with a wind gust up to 60 mph threat. The severe threat should stay very minimal. This appears to be more of a good ol’ fashion rain event something we desperately need in North Texas. Rainfall projections are still on target for an average of 2″ – 4″.

Widespread rainfall is expected today and tonight, particularly along and north of the I-20 corridor. Heavy rainfall may result in flooding. In addition, embedded T-Storms could contain gusty winds and frequent lightning.

At 1000 PM CDT (0300 UTC), the disturbance was centered near latitude 25.3 North, longitude 97.9 West. The system is moving toward the northwest near 13 mph (20 km/h). A north-northwestward motion is expected until the system dissipates on Sunday.
