Tonight’s DFW Forecast

A quiet, clear, and comfortable night is ahead across Dallas-Fort Worth. Temperatures will slip into the low to mid 60s by daybreak, with light winds.

Saturday brings abundant sunshine and a quick warm-up, with afternoon highs near 90 to the lower 90s. South winds return during the afternoon, setting the stage for another warm and dry stretch. Sunday and Columbus Day will stay sunny, with highs around 90 and mild nights climbing into the upper 60s and 70s.

The heat builds further Tuesday and Wednesday, with highs in the lower 90s and heat index values possibly nearing 105 in parts of the Metroplex Tuesday. Rain chances return late Wednesday night, continuing Thursday with scattered showers and thunderstorms possible. Thursday looks a little cooler, with highs mainly in the mid to upper 80s.

Plan for heat precautions during the middle of next week, and keep an eye on the late-week rain and storm chances.
