Heavy rain is still causing a flash flood threat in parts of North Texas. A Flash Flood Warning remains in effect for western Fannin County and eastern Grayson County until 2:00 PM.

– At 12:42 PM, radar showed showers and thunderstorms continuing to produce heavy rain across the warned area
**What to Expect:**
– Flash flooding caused by heavy rain
– Radar shows the heaviest rain especially in southwest Fannin County
– Between 2 to 4 inches of rain have fallen there
– Areas impacted include Sherman, Bonham, Denison, Van Alstyne, Howe, Leonard, Whitewright, Gunter, Bells, Tom Bean, Savoy, Ector, Trenton, Knollwood, Ravenna, Dorchester, Valley Lake, Randolph, Bonham State Park, and Lake Bonham
**Potential Impacts:**
– Flooding of small creeks and streams
– Flooding in urban areas, highways, streets, and underpasses
– Flooding in other poor drainage and low-lying areas
– Ponding on roadways is imminent or already occurring
**What to Do Now:**
– Turn around, don’t drown if you encounter flooded roads
– Most flood deaths occur in vehicles
– Stay away from flooded areas
– River banks and culverts can become unstable and unsafe
