Tonight’s DFW Forecast

Rain will be the main story across the Dallas–Fort Worth area tonight. Showers and a few thunderstorms will become widespread, especially overnight, with a 90 percent rain chance. Some storms may produce torrential downpours, and a Flood Watch remains in effect through Friday morning. Temperatures will stay muggy, with lows in the upper 60s to near 70.

Friday will remain gray, damp, and noticeably cooler. Periods of showers are likely through the day, with a few embedded thunderstorms possible. Highs will only reach the mid to upper 70s, with northeast winds adding to the cooler feel.

Rain chances continue Friday night and Saturday, so outdoor plans may need flexibility. Scattered showers and isolated storms linger into Sunday before skies gradually improve. A much drier pattern takes over next week, with sunshine, mornings in the upper 50s to low 60s, and afternoon highs in the low 80s.

Use caution around flooded roads tonight and Friday morning. Never drive through high water.
