Today’s DFW Forecast

Rain and thunderstorms will remain in the North Texas forecast today, with a 90 percent chance of showers across the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex. Expect occasional rain through the day, with a few thunderstorms possible. Highs will reach the lower 80s, but clouds and rain will keep the day from feeling overly warm.

Rain coverage will continue tonight, especially across Dallas and areas east of the Metroplex. Lows will settle into the upper 60s with humid conditions remaining in place.

Friday stays unsettled with scattered showers and a few thunderstorms, especially during the morning. A north wind will gradually bring slightly cooler air into North Texas, holding afternoon temperatures near 80 degrees. Rain chances will linger into the weekend before drier and sunnier weather returns early next week.

A Flood Watch remains in effect through Friday morning. Heavy rain could lead to localized street flooding, so use caution during the commute and never drive through flooded roads.
