A few showers or thunderstorms may linger around the Metroplex this evening, but coverage will remain scattered. Most neighborhoods will turn partly cloudy to mostly clear overnight, with lows settling into the lower 70s.
Monday brings plenty of sunshine, humidity, and another small chance for a pop-up shower or storm, mainly during the afternoon. Highs will climb back into the mid 90s. Tuesday looks hotter and mostly dry, with highs in the mid to upper 90s and a southerly breeze.
Changes arrive by midweek. Rain and storm chances increase Wednesday, becoming more widespread Wednesday night into Thursday. Some storms could produce locally heavy rainfall, especially late Wednesday and Thursday, so stay alert for ponding water and localized flooding. Rain chances linger into Friday and the weekend as temperatures cool significantly, with highs falling into the 80s Thursday and near 80 by Friday.
