A quiet, warm night is ahead across Dallas-Fort Worth. Skies will be partly cloudy, with some areas turning mostly cloudy overnight. Temperatures settle into the upper 60s to lower 70s, with a light southeast breeze.
Saturday will be another hot late-September day. Expect a mix of clouds and sunshine, with afternoon highs reaching the mid 90s across much of the Metroplex. Rain is not expected locally, and Saturday night will remain mostly clear and warm, with lows in the lower 70s.
Sunday and Monday bring the peak of the heat, with plenty of sunshine and highs climbing into the upper 90s. A brief shower cannot be ruled out Sunday morning, but most locations stay dry. Heat index values may approach 105 degrees in parts of the Metroplex Monday and Tuesday.
Rain and thunderstorm chances increase Tuesday afternoon, becoming more widespread Tuesday night through Thursday. Highs ease into the 80s by Wednesday and Thursday.
