Tonight’s DFW Forecast

A warm and quiet night is ahead for the Dallas–Fort Worth Metroplex. Skies will be mostly clear early, turning partly cloudy overnight, with lows settling into the mid to upper 70s and a light south breeze.

Sunday will be another hot late-summer day, with plenty of sun and highs reaching the upper 90s. A few afternoon storms may develop, especially west and north of Fort Worth, but most of the Metroplex should remain dry through much of the day. Rain and thunderstorm chances increase Sunday night, with scattered activity possible through early Monday.

Monday will stay hot, topping out in the mid 90s, with scattered showers and thunderstorms possible mainly during the afternoon. A north wind behind the rain chance will bring a modest break in the heat Tuesday, with highs in the lower 90s. Mid-90s return Wednesday through Friday.

Plan for heat safety Sunday, and keep an eye on the sky Sunday night and Monday for thunderstorms.
