Tonight will stay mostly clear and warm across the Dallas–Fort Worth Metroplex, with south winds and lows only falling into the upper 70s. It will remain humid, offering little overnight relief from the daytime heat.
Monday brings another sunny, very hot day, with highs near 100 to 102 degrees. Heat index values will reach around 105 degrees during the afternoon, and a Heat Advisory remains in effect through 8 PM Monday. A light south breeze may pick up a bit late in the day, but it will do little to cool things down.
The heat holds strong through Tuesday, with highs near 100. By Wednesday through Friday, temperatures ease only slightly into the upper 90s, while afternoon heat index values may still approach 105 to 110. Rain chances remain very limited, although a stray storm cannot be ruled out south and west of DFW late week.
Limit strenuous outdoor activity, drink plenty of water, and check on vulnerable neighbors and pets.
