Today’s DFW Forecast

Another stretch of dangerous late-summer heat is underway across the Dallas–Fort Worth Metroplex. Expect full sunshine today with afternoon highs near 100 degrees in Dallas and Fort Worth, with a light south breeze offering little relief. Humidity will push the heat index between 105 and 107 degrees at times. A Heat Advisory remains in effect through 8 PM.

Tonight stays clear, warm, and muggy, with temperatures only falling into the upper 70s. Monday brings more sunshine and another very hot afternoon, with highs in the upper 90s to near 100 and heat index values near 105 to 106. South winds may increase slightly during the afternoon.

The extended forecast remains dry and hot through midweek, with temperatures near or above 100 again Tuesday and heat index values potentially reaching 110 by Wednesday.

Limit strenuous outdoor activity during the hottest part of the afternoon, drink plenty of water, and check on vulnerable neighbors.
