Today’s DFW Forecast

North Texas is heading into another hot, mostly sunny day across the Metroplex. Highs this afternoon will reach 100 to 101 degrees in Dallas, Fort Worth, Denton, and surrounding communities, with heat index values near 105. A stray shower or thunderstorm may pop up during the afternoon, but coverage will stay limited and most neighborhoods remain dry. An Ozone Action Day is in effect, so reducing vehicle trips and outdoor emissions where possible is encouraged.

Tonight turns mostly clear and warm, with lows in the mid to upper 70s. A brief evening shower or storm cannot be ruled out, but rain chances remain low.

Wednesday stays hot, though temperatures ease back into the mid and upper 90s. Scattered showers and a few thunderstorms become more likely during the afternoon, with better rain chances arriving Wednesday night into Thursday.

Limit strenuous outdoor activities during the hottest part of today, and keep water handy.
