Tonight’s DFW Forecast

A quiet but warm night is ahead across the Dallas–Fort Worth Metroplex. Skies will be mostly clear, with temperatures only slipping into the upper 70s and a light southeast breeze continuing overnight.

Tuesday stays sunny, hot, and increasingly humid. Afternoon highs will reach the upper 90s to near 100 degrees, while heat index values climb to around 105. Outdoor plans will be manageable early, but the afternoon heat will be the main concern.

A few showers and thunderstorms may develop Wednesday afternoon, with better rain chances south and east of Dallas-Fort Worth. Most of the Metroplex will remain hot, but cloud cover and isolated rain could trim highs into the mid to upper 90s. A few showers may linger Wednesday night into early Thursday.

By late week and through Labor Day, the heat takes over again. Highs will stay in the upper 90s to near 100, with afternoon heat index values near 110.

Limit strenuous outdoor activity during the hottest part of each afternoon and drink plenty of water.
