Tonight turns mostly clear across the Dallas–Fort Worth Metroplex after another dangerously hot day. Any isolated shower activity should fade quickly, leaving light east winds and warm overnight lows in the mid to upper 70s.
Friday brings more sunshine and another round of intense late-summer heat. Highs will reach around 100 to 102 degrees, with afternoon heat index values generally between 105 and 109. Rain is not expected, so outdoor plans will be dry but very hot.
The weekend stays sunny, dry, and hot, with highs near 100 to 101 each afternoon. Little relief is expected into next week as temperatures remain near 100 through Wednesday. Humidity will push heat index readings close to 110 at times, especially Sunday through midweek.
The Heat Advisory remains in effect through 8 PM Thursday. Limit strenuous outdoor activity during the afternoon, drink plenty of water, and never leave children or pets in a parked vehicle.
