Today’s DFW Forecast

The Metroplex will stay dangerously hot today, with mostly sunny skies pushing afternoon temperatures to around 100 to 102 degrees. A Heat Advisory remains in effect through 9 PM, and heat index values could climb between 105 and 109. A stray afternoon shower or thunderstorm is possible, but rain coverage will be limited and most neighborhoods will remain dry. Some haze or smoke may also linger, especially west and southwest of DFW.

Tonight will be partly cloudy and very warm, with lows mainly in the mid to upper 70s. There is another small chance for an isolated shower or storm after midnight.

Thursday brings little relief. Expect mostly sunny skies, highs in the upper 90s to near 100, and heat index values again near 105 to 109. Rain chances remain low, with only a spotty afternoon storm possible.

Limit strenuous outdoor activity during the hottest part of the day, drink plenty of water, and check on vulnerable neighbors.
