Another hot day gives way to a mostly clear and very warm Metroplex night. Dallas-Fort Worth will only fall into the lower 80s, with a light south breeze offering little relief. A stray shower or thunderstorm may brush communities north and northeast of Dallas after midnight, but most of the Metroplex stays dry.
Tuesday remains dangerously hot under mostly sunny skies. Afternoon highs reach 104 to 106 degrees, and the Extreme Heat Warning continues through 9 p.m. Tuesday. Plan for the hottest conditions from midafternoon through early evening, especially on pavement, at outdoor worksites, and during any practice or recreation.
A slight dip arrives Wednesday, though highs still top out near 102 to 104. Isolated afternoon storms become possible west of Fort Worth Wednesday and across more of North Texas Thursday, but coverage remains limited. Temperatures ease closer to the upper 90s to near 100 late week and into the weekend, while heat index values may still approach 105 to 110.
Heat remains the main concern: limit time outside, hydrate often, and check on vulnerable neighbors and pets.
