North Texas gets little relief tonight as skies stay mostly clear and temperatures only fall into the lower 80s across the Dallas–Fort Worth Metroplex. A steady south breeze will continue, and any shower or storm chance after midnight remains very low.
Monday will be another dangerously hot day, with plenty of sunshine pushing highs near 108 degrees in Dallas and Fort Worth. The Extreme Heat Warning remains in effect through 9 PM Monday. Heat stress will build quickly through the afternoon, especially for anyone working or spending time outdoors.
Tuesday stays sunny and very hot, with highs generally from 105 to 107 and heat index values near 110. Temperatures ease back slightly Wednesday, but highs will still reach 100 to 105. A few isolated showers may develop late Wednesday into Thursday, though most Metroplex locations stay dry. By Friday through next weekend, expect mainly sunny skies and continued highs near 100.
Limit outdoor activity during the hottest part of the day, drink plenty of water, and check on vulnerable neighbors.
