Tonight’s DFW Forecast

A very warm and mostly clear night is ahead across the Metroplex, with lows only falling to around 80 to the lower 80s. An isolated shower or thunderstorm may develop this evening, mainly east and northeast of Dallas-Fort Worth, but most neighborhoods will stay dry.

Friday brings another dangerous heat day. Expect plenty of sun, highs near 105 to 106, and afternoon heat index values around 109 to 111. A few pop-up showers or storms are possible during the afternoon and evening, but coverage will remain limited. The Extreme Heat Warning continues through 8 PM Friday, along with an Ozone Action Day.

The weekend stays relentlessly hot, with highs near 106 Saturday and 105 to 110 Sunday. Triple-digit heat continues into next week, although highs should ease closer to 100 by Wednesday and Thursday. Isolated rain chances return at times, but widespread relief is not expected.

Limit outdoor activity during the afternoon heat, hydrate often, and check on vulnerable neighbors.
