Tonight’s DFW Forecast

Tonight will stay mostly clear, warm, and quiet across the Dallas–Fort Worth area. Temperatures will only fall to around 80 degrees, with a light south breeze offering little relief.

Thursday brings another day of dangerous heat under abundant sunshine. Highs will reach 104 to 105 degrees across much of the Metroplex, while afternoon heat index values climb near 108 to 110. The Extreme Heat Warning remains in effect through 8 PM Thursday. A stray late-day shower or thunderstorm cannot be ruled out across the far northern and northeastern fringe of North Texas, but most of DFW stays dry.

The heat does not ease after Thursday. Friday through the weekend will bring mostly sunny skies, highs near 105, and warm nights near 80. Sunday may be the most uncomfortable day, with heat index values potentially approaching 115 in some spots. A slim rain chance returns early next week, but widespread relief is not expected.

Limit strenuous outdoor activity during the afternoon, drink plenty of water, and check on vulnerable neighbors and pets.
