Today’s DFW Forecast

North Texas is locked into another hot and dry day across the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex. Expect plenty of sunshine with afternoon highs near 101 degrees in Dallas, Fort Worth, Arlington, Plano, Denton, and surrounding communities. South winds around 10 to 15 mph will offer little relief, while humidity pushes the heat index into the 105 to 107 degree range. A Heat Advisory remains in effect through 8 PM.

Tonight stays mostly clear, warm, and humid, with lows only falling into the upper 70s to around 80. South winds will gradually ease after midnight.

Saturday brings more of the same: full sunshine, highs near 100 to 101, and even more oppressive afternoon humidity. Heat index values may approach 109 to 110 degrees. No rain or storm chances are in sight.

Limit strenuous outdoor activity during the hottest part of the afternoon, drink plenty of water, and check on vulnerable neighbors and pets.
