A quiet and warm night is ahead for the Dallas–Fort Worth Metroplex. Any isolated shower or thunderstorm activity this evening should remain limited, mainly south and east of the core Metroplex. Skies will gradually clear overnight, with lows settling into the mid to upper 70s and a light south breeze.
Sunday brings full sunshine and another hot afternoon, with highs near 100 degrees across Dallas, Fort Worth, Arlington, Denton, Plano, and surrounding communities. Humidity will make it feel closer to 105 degrees at times, especially during the afternoon.
The extended forecast stays locked into a summer heat pattern. Highs will remain in the upper 90s to near 100 through next weekend, while overnight temperatures hold in the upper 70s. Heat index values may climb to 105 to 110 by midweek and beyond, with no meaningful rain chances in sight.
Limit strenuous outdoor activities during the hottest part of the day, drink plenty of water, and never leave children or pets in vehicles.
