A warm, quiet night is ahead for most of the Dallas–Fort Worth Metroplex. Skies will be mainly clear to partly cloudy, with south winds staying light and lows only slipping into the upper 70s. A stray evening storm is possible well north and northeast of DFW, but rain chances remain low across the urban corridor.
Saturday brings more sunshine and another hot afternoon, with highs in the upper 90s. A few isolated storms may pop up east and northeast of the Metroplex during the afternoon, but most neighborhoods stay dry. South winds will remain light.
The heat stays locked in through next week. Highs will generally run from the upper 90s to near 100 degrees each day, while overnight lows remain in the mid to upper 70s. Humidity will push afternoon heat index values to 105 to 110 degrees from Sunday through much of next week.
Limit extended outdoor activity during the hottest part of the day, drink plenty of water, and check on those without reliable air conditioning.
