North Texas will stay quiet tonight with mostly clear skies, a light south breeze, and low temperatures settling into the upper 70s across Dallas–Fort Worth. It will remain warm well after sunset, with little relief from the daytime heat.
Thursday brings another sunny and hot afternoon, with Metroplex highs near 100 degrees. South winds will stay light, generally 5 to 10 mph, and rain or thunderstorms are not expected.
The extended forecast remains locked into a dry summer pattern. Highs will hold in the upper 90s through the weekend and into next week, while overnight lows stay in the upper 70s. Humidity will make afternoons feel even hotter, with heat index values commonly near 105 and potentially close to 110 Sunday through Tuesday.
Limit strenuous outdoor activity during the hottest part of the afternoon, drink plenty of water, and check on anyone without reliable air conditioning.
