North Texas is in for another bright, punishingly hot day across Dallas-Fort Worth. Sunshine will dominate from morning through evening, with light south winds doing little to help. Highs will reach around 100 to 102 degrees across the Metroplex. An Ozone Action Day is in effect, so sensitive groups should limit prolonged outdoor activity this afternoon.
Tonight stays mostly clear and warm, with temperatures only slipping into the upper 70s by daybreak.
Wednesday brings more of the same: full sun, light southerly winds, and highs near 101. The extended outlook offers little relief, with upper-90s to near-100 heat continuing through the weekend and heat index readings climbing near 105 at times.
Heat will be the main concern. Drink plenty of water, take frequent shade breaks, and never leave children or pets in a parked vehicle.
