Today’s DFW Forecast

North Texas is locked into another dangerous stretch of summer heat across the Dallas–Fort Worth Metroplex. Today will be sunny and very hot, with afternoon highs near 100 to 102 degrees. Humidity will push feels-like temperatures as high as 109, and a Heat Advisory remains in effect through 8 PM.

Tonight stays mostly clear, warm and humid, with lows only dipping into the upper 70s to lower 80s. A light south breeze will offer little relief.

Friday turns even hotter. Expect plenty of sunshine, highs around 102 to 103, and peak heat index values near 110 or 111 during the afternoon. Clouds may increase Friday night, with only a small, spotty shower or storm chance developing late, mainly south and east of the Metroplex. A modest weekend cooldown arrives Saturday, although highs still reach the upper 90s.

Limit time outdoors during the afternoon, drink plenty of water, and never leave children or pets in a parked car.
