Tonight will stay clear and very warm across the Dallas–Fort Worth Metroplex, with lows only falling into the lower 80s. There is no rain or storm chance, but the warm overnight temperatures will offer limited relief after another dangerously hot day.
Wednesday brings more sunshine and another round of extreme heat. Highs will reach 101 to 104 degrees from Dallas to Fort Worth, with afternoon heat index values climbing as high as 115. The Extreme Heat Warning remains in effect through 8 PM Wednesday.
A slight temperature dip arrives Thursday, but it will still be hot, with highs near 100 and heat index values around 105 to 107. Friday through the weekend stays dry and sunny, with highs near 100 each day and afternoon feels-like temperatures commonly near 110. Early next week looks just as hot.
Limit outdoor activity during the hottest part of the day, drink plenty of water, and check on vulnerable neighbors and pets.
