North Texas will have another warm, humid day with a mix of sun and building clouds across the Metroplex. Dallas, Fort Worth, and surrounding communities will reach the mid to upper 80s, with scattered showers and thunderstorms becoming more likely this afternoon. Rain chances run around 30 to 50 percent, highest south and west of the core Metroplex. Most neighborhoods will miss the rain, but any storm could briefly slow the evening commute with lightning and a quick downpour.
Tonight turns partly cloudy and muggy, with a lingering 20 to 30 percent chance for an evening shower or thunderstorm. Lows settle into the lower 70s.
Wednesday brings more sunshine early, followed by another 50 percent chance of afternoon showers and storms. Highs climb near 90. Daily storm chances linger into Thursday before hotter, drier weather returns heading into the weekend, with widespread 90s on the way.
