Tonight’s DFW Forecast

A quiet and warm night is ahead across the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex with mostly clear skies and low temperatures near 80. Winds will stay light from the south, so it won’t cool off much by daybreak.

Tomorrow brings more July heat with plenty of sunshine and highs right around 100 degrees, a few spots just above that. When you factor in the humidity, it will feel closer to 103 to 106 during the afternoon, so plan for another very hot day if you’ll be outside. Friday and Saturday stay on the same track with upper 90s to near 100 and warm nights holding near 80.

By late Saturday night, a few showers or storms may begin to edge into parts of North Texas, with better rain chances arriving Sunday and continuing at times into Monday and Tuesday. That will help trim temperatures back into the lower to middle 90s. While widespread severe weather is not expected right now, some storms could bring brief heavy rain and lightning.

Heat remains the main issue through Saturday, then storm chances increase late weekend into early next week.
