Today’s DFW Forecast

Another hot summer day is ahead for the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex. Expect plenty of sunshine with afternoon highs climbing into the upper 90s, and a few spots could flirt with 100 degrees. Most of North Texas stays dry, but there is a small chance for an isolated shower or thunderstorm later today, mainly east and northeast of the core Metroplex.

Tonight turns quiet with mostly clear skies and warm conditions hanging on. Overnight lows will only slip into the upper 70s, so it will stay muggy and mild through the night.

Tomorrow looks even hotter. Sunshine continues, and afternoon temperatures should top out near 100 to 101 degrees across parts of DFW with a light south wind. Rain chances remain very limited, so the main story will be the building heat.

Looking ahead, the hotter pattern holds through Friday and Saturday, with the next better chance of scattered storms arriving late Saturday night into Sunday and Monday along with slightly lower temperatures.

Heat will be the main impact through tomorrow, especially during the afternoon and early evening.
