Today’s DFW Forecast

North Texas will stay fairly quiet today, but the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex can still expect a few pop-up showers or thunderstorms, mainly this afternoon. Coverage looks scattered, so most neighborhoods will stay dry, with highs topping out in the upper 80s under a mix of sun and clouds.

Tonight turns warm and muggy with partly cloudy skies and lows settling into the mid 70s. Any evening shower chance should fade quickly, leaving a pretty typical summer night across the Metroplex.

Tomorrow brings a bigger jump in heat. We’ll see more sunshine, highs climbing into the lower to middle 90s, and a gusty south wind developing by afternoon with gusts near 30 mph at times. Humidity will make it feel even hotter, with heat index values pushing close to 105 to 108 degrees.

Looking ahead, the pattern stays summerlike with hotter weather Monday and only spotty storm chances returning at times early next week.

Plan for a hotter and breezier Sunday, and take the heat seriously if you’ll be outside for long stretches.
