Flash flooding is ongoing this morning in parts of North Texas, with very heavy rain causing numerous roads to flood and become impassable. A Flash Flood Warning is in effect for southern Freestone County, Leon County, and east central Limestone County until 10:00 AM.

– In effect until 10:00 AM
– At 6:15 AM, Doppler radar showed thunderstorms continuing to produce very heavy rain across the warned area
– Flash flooding is expected to continue this morning
**What to Expect:**
– Life-threatening flash flooding
– Thunderstorms producing flash flooding
– Radar estimates show 4 to 8 inches of rain has fallen this morning across eastern Limestone, western Freestone, and northern Leon Counties
– An additional 1 to 3 inches of rain is possible in the next few hours
– Central Leon County has received 1 to 3 inches of rain this morning
**Potential Impacts:**
– Numerous roads are reportedly flooded and impassable
– Life-threatening flash flooding of creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets, and underpasses

– Turn around, don’t drown when encountering flooded roads
