A quiet summer day is ahead for the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex. Expect a mix of sun and clouds this afternoon with highs mainly in the upper 80s, and just a light east breeze. A few spots may start the day with some patchy fog, but no rain is expected around DFW. Air quality may be an issue today as an Ozone Action Day is in effect.
Tonight stays warm and a little muggy with mostly clear skies early, then a few more clouds late. Lows will settle into the lower to middle 70s with a light south wind.
Tomorrow turns hotter and more humid. We’ll start with a little morning cloud cover, then trend sunnier through the afternoon. Highs reach the lower 90s across most of the Metroplex, with a breezy south wind at 10 to 20 mph at times.
The bigger change comes later this week. Thursday brings upper 90s and heat index values near 110, then storm chances return late Thursday night into Friday.
