Today’s DFW Forecast

North Texas stays unsettled today, and the Dallas-Fort Worth area will keep rain chances around through much of the day. Expect a mostly cloudy start with scattered showers and a few thunderstorms, then some breaks of sun later on. Highs should top out in the mid 80s, a little cooler in some northern suburbs. The main concern is locally heavy rainfall, especially where storms repeat over the same spots.

Tonight, clouds hold on and the air stays humid with lows in the lower 70s. Additional showers and thunderstorms remain possible, and some of that rain could become heavy at times, especially late tonight into early Sunday.

Tomorrow looks active again, particularly in the morning. Showers and thunderstorms are likely across the Metroplex before tapering to more isolated activity later in the day. Highs rise to around 90 with a breezy south wind developing by afternoon.

A Flood Watch remains in effect through Sunday afternoon. Watch for ponding on roads and isolated flash flooding where heavier downpours persist.
