Rain chances ramp up tonight across the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex, with scattered evening storms giving way to more widespread showers after midnight. It’ll stay warm and muggy, with lows settling in the lower 70s. A few heavier downpours are possible overnight, especially where storms repeatedly move over the same areas.
Saturday stays unsettled, with off-and-on showers and a few thunderstorms through the morning and into part of the afternoon. Expect a mostly cloudy start, then a little more sunshine later in the day. Highs will top out in the mid 80s, so a bit cooler than typical for early June.
The pattern doesn’t change much Saturday night into Sunday, with more rounds of showers and storms likely. Rain coverage should gradually ease later Sunday, followed by a hotter and more summer-like stretch next week. Highs return to the lower and middle 90s Monday through Thursday, and the humidity will push heat index values near 105 at times.
If you have weekend plans, keep the rain gear handy and be ready for occasional heavy downpours and lightning.
