Today’s DFW Forecast

North Texas stays unsettled today, and that includes the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex. Expect a mostly cloudy sky with scattered showers and a few thunderstorms developing through the day, especially this afternoon. Not everyone gets rain, but coverage will be enough to keep the forecast active. Highs will top out in the mid to upper 80s with a light southeast breeze.

Tonight stays warm and humid with lots of clouds and another round of scattered showers and thunderstorms around, especially during the evening and overnight hours. Lows will fall into the lower 70s.

Tomorrow looks like the wetter day of the weekend so far. We’ll start with clouds and a few morning showers or storms, then rain and thunderstorm chances increase during the afternoon as temperatures hold in the mid 80s. A few storms could produce heavy downpours, so keep an eye on the radar if you have outdoor plans.

The unsettled pattern continues into Sunday before hotter weather builds in early next week with highs back in the 90s.

A few downpours could briefly cause ponding on roads this weekend, especially Saturday afternoon and evening.
