A fairly typical early June pattern is settling in across the Dallas-Fort Worth area today. We’ll see a mix of sun and clouds with warm, muggy conditions, and highs mostly in the mid to upper 80s. A few spotty showers or thunderstorms could pop up late this morning, but the better chance for scattered rain looks to come this afternoon. Not everyone gets wet, but a few neighborhoods could see a quick downpour and lightning.
Tonight, rain chances fade after sunset with partly cloudy skies and a mild, humid overnight. Lows will settle into the lower 70s, with just a small chance of an evening shower or storm.
Tomorrow stays very similar, with a brighter start followed by more clouds in the afternoon. Highs will again reach the mid to upper 80s, and scattered showers and a few thunderstorms may redevelop later in the day.
While widespread severe weather is not expected, any storm can produce brief heavy rain and lightning, especially during the afternoon and evening hours.
