A quiet night is ahead for the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex with partly cloudy skies and mild temperatures settling into the upper 60s. Any isolated late-day shower activity should fade, leaving light south winds overnight.
Tomorrow looks warmer and mainly dry, with a mix of sunshine and a small chance for a brief pop-up shower or thunderstorm. Most of DFW should stay rain-free, and highs will climb into the mid to upper 80s by afternoon. Air quality may also be a concern Thursday with an Ozone Action Day in effect.
Heading into Friday and Saturday, the pattern stays pretty calm with more sun than clouds and a warming trend. Highs will push into the upper 80s Friday, then near 90 by the weekend. Rain chances begin to creep back up Saturday night, with scattered thunderstorms possible into Sunday. Right now, the better setup for more widespread showers and storms looks to be late weekend into early next week, but severe weather does not appear to be a major concern for DFW at this point.
