A strong thunderstorm is affecting parts of North Texas through 6:00 PM. The storm is near Cleburne State Park and is moving very little, bringing gusty winds, small hail, heavy rain, and frequent lightning.

– As of 5:32 PM, Doppler radar showed the storm near Cleburne State Park, about 11 miles southwest of Cleburne
– The storm was nearly stationary
**What to Expect:**
– Winds in excess of 40 mph
– Penny-size hail
– Torrential rainfall
– Frequent cloud-to-ground lightning
**Potential Impacts:**
– Tree limbs could be knocked down
– Unsecured objects could be blown around
– Minor damage to outdoor objects is possible
– Localized flooding may develop
– Lightning can strike up to 10 miles away from the storm
**What to Do Now:**
– If you are outdoors, consider moving inside a building
– Do not drive through flooded roadways
– Seek safe shelter inside a building or vehicle if lightning is nearby
