A strong thunderstorm is moving through parts of North Texas this evening. Southeastern Hill County and southwestern Navarro County could see strong wind gusts, penny-size hail, heavy rain, and frequent lightning through 6:00 PM.

**What to Expect:**
– At 5:25 PM, radar showed a strong thunderstorm near Hubbard, or 16 miles southeast of Hillsboro
– The storm is moving west at 15 mph
– Hazard: wind gusts over 40 mph
– Hazard: penny-size hail
– Torrential rainfall is also occurring
– Frequent cloud-to-ground lightning is occurring
**Potential Impacts:**
– Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs
– Unsecured objects may be blown around
– Minor damage to outdoor objects is possible
– Localized flooding may develop
– Lightning can strike up to 10 miles away from the storm
**What to Do Now:**
– If you are outdoors, consider moving inside a building
– Do not drive through flooded roadways
– Seek safe shelter inside a building or vehicle if lightning is nearby
– If you are on or near Navarro Mills Lake, get out of the water and move indoors or into a vehicle now
