A strong thunderstorm is moving through parts of North Texas this afternoon. It will affect southwestern Freestone, northeastern Robertson, west central Leon, and southeastern Limestone counties through 5:15 PM.

– Through 5:15 PM
– At 4:50 PM, the storm was near Lake Limestone, or 14 miles south of Teague
– The storm is moving south at 5 mph
– Lake Limestone could be affected around 4:55 PM
**What to Expect:**
– Winds in excess of 40 mph
– Penny-size hail
– Torrential rainfall
– Frequent cloud-to-ground lightning
**Potential Impacts:**
– Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs
– Unsecured objects could be blown around
– Minor damage to outdoor objects is possible
– Localized flooding may develop
– Lightning can strike up to 10 miles away from the storm
**What to Do Now:**
– If you are outdoors, consider moving inside a building
– Do not drive through flooded roadways
– Seek shelter inside a building or vehicle if lightning is nearby
– If you are on or near Lake Limestone, get out of the water and move indoors or into a vehicle now
