Strong thunderstorms are moving across parts of North Texas early this morning and will continue through 2:15 AM. The main concerns are wind gusts over 40 mph, half-inch hail, heavy rain that could cause localized flooding, and frequent lightning.

– At 1:13 AM, strong thunderstorms were moving east at 35 mph
– Storms will affect parts of North Texas through 2:15 AM
– Storms were near Cleburne, Lake Pat Cleburne, and Lake Whitney around 1:20 AM
– Clifton and Blum around 1:25 AM
– Laguna Park and Lake Whitney State Park around 1:30 AM
– Whitney and Covington around 1:35 AM
– Gatesville around 1:40 AM
– Grandview, Valley Mills, and Aquilla Lake around 1:45 AM
– Hillsboro and Itasca around 1:50 AM
– Crawford around 1:55 AM

**What to Expect:**
– Strong thunderstorms impacting eastern Somervell, northeastern Hamilton, central McLennan, northeastern Coryell, southern Johnson, Bosque, Hill, southwestern Ellis, and east central Hood counties
– Storms were located along a line from near Cleburne State Park to near Meridian to 8 miles southeast of Hamilton
– Hazards include wind gusts in excess of 40 mph and half-inch hail
– Torrential rainfall is also occurring
– Frequent cloud-to-ground lightning is occurring

– Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects
– Minor damage to outdoor objects is possible
– Localized flooding may develop
– Lightning can strike up to 10 miles away from a thunderstorm

– Do not drive through flooded roadways
– Seek safe shelter inside a building or vehicle if lightning is nearby
