A quieter evening gives way to a better chance for showers and thunderstorms late tonight across the Dallas-Fort Worth area, especially after midnight into early Saturday morning. Not everyone will get rain, but a few rounds of wet weather could move through before daybreak with lows in the upper 60s.
For Saturday, clouds will hang around through the morning with a few leftover showers and storms possible, then some gradual clearing by afternoon. Highs will be a little cooler, settling into the lower 80s. Rain chances don’t disappear this weekend, but they do look more scattered Saturday night and again Sunday afternoon.
Looking ahead, the pattern stays fairly active through Memorial Day and much of next week. Expect periodic chances for afternoon and nighttime showers and storms, with the better opportunity for more widespread rain showing up Tuesday night into Wednesday. Temperatures stay seasonable, with highs mostly in the lower to middle 80s.
A few storms could bring brief heavy downpours at times, especially late tonight and again midweek.
