Tonight’s DFW Forecast

Rain chances will linger across the Dallas-Fort Worth area tonight with scattered showers and a few thunderstorms around, especially this evening. Not everyone gets wet, but a few downpours are possible before activity gradually eases overnight. Temperatures will turn cooler by morning, with lows settling into the mid 60s.

Tomorrow looks a little quieter overall. We’ll keep a mostly cloudy start, then see some breaks of sun by afternoon. A few spotty showers or thunderstorms could redevelop later in the day, but many neighborhoods will stay dry. Highs should top out near 80 to the lower 80s.

The wetter stretch arrives again tomorrow night into Thursday. Rain becomes more widespread overnight, and Thursday looks like the soggiest day of the week with periods of showers, embedded thunderstorms, and highs only in the upper 70s. While widespread severe weather is not the main concern in the Metroplex, repeated rounds of rain could bring pockets of heavy rainfall. Unsettled weather continues into the holiday weekend with off-and-on storm chances and temperatures generally in the upper 70s to lower 80s.

Thursday looks like the day with the biggest impact for travel and outdoor plans due to steady rain and occasional storms.
