Today’s DFW Forecast

A cooler and fairly quiet day is ahead for the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex, at least compared to the active pattern nearby. Today will start mostly cloudy, with just a small chance for a stray shower or thunderstorm this morning and another isolated round possible later this afternoon. Most of the day will be dry, with a little more sunshine developing and highs topping out around 80 to the lower 80s.

Tonight, clouds increase again and rain chances climb late. A few showers and thunderstorms may develop during the evening, but the better opportunity for more widespread rain looks to arrive after midnight. Overnight lows will settle into the mid 60s.

Tomorrow looks wetter and cooler. Expect periods of showers and a few thunderstorms through the day, with highs mainly in the upper 70s. Rain coverage will be much higher, and a few pockets of heavier rain could create some travel slowdowns.

The bigger weather impact arrives late tonight through Thursday, when rounds of rain and thunderstorms could bring locally heavy rainfall.
