A quiet and warm night is ahead for the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex, with clear skies and overnight lows settling into the upper 60s. Winds stay light out of the southeast, so it should be a comfortable evening overall.
Tomorrow looks hotter, with plenty of sunshine and afternoon highs climbing into the lower 90s. South winds will pick up a bit through the day, but rain is not expected. Friday stays very warm, near 90 again, with stronger south winds and gusts that could top 30 mph by afternoon.
The weekend remains mostly dry, with highs backing off just a little into the upper 80s. Clouds increase Sunday, and the next better rain chance arrives Sunday night into Tuesday. Scattered showers and thunderstorms look more likely Monday and Tuesday, and that stretch will bring a cooler pattern with highs dropping into the low to mid 80s. For now, widespread severe weather does not stand out, but some locally heavy rain will be possible where storms develop.
Early next week looks wetter, with the best chance for rain Monday into Tuesday and a gradual cool-down.
