Today’s DFW Forecast

Storm chances are ramping up across the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex today. We’ll start with a mix of clouds and a few scattered morning showers or storms, but the better coverage arrives this afternoon. Some storms could turn strong to severe, especially later in the day, with gusty winds, hail, and pockets of heavy rain. Highs will reach the upper 70s to lower 80s, then many spots cool a bit this afternoon as rain moves in.

Tonight stays unsettled, with widespread showers and a few thunderstorms during the evening before rain gradually tapers after midnight. It’ll turn cooler by daybreak, with lows settling in the lower 60s and a light north wind developing.

Tomorrow looks much quieter. We’ll hang onto a little cloud cover early, but improving skies are expected through the day with drier air moving in. Highs should top out in the mid to upper 70s, making for a cooler and more comfortable finish to the start of the week.

If you have outdoor plans today or this evening, be ready for changing weather and possible strong storms.
